It was here where she studied the art of food presentation and honed her culinary skills. Her frequent international travels are her greatest source of gastronomic inspiration and where she learned the basics of ethnic cooking.

Being an accomplished author, she promotes her message of creative cooking through television appearances, food writing and recipe development. Arlene is the president of the Minneapolis St. Paul chapter of Les Dames d’ Escoffier, Board member of the Arrowhead Professional Chefs Association, a member of the Minnesota State Department of Health Advisory Committee and a member of Women Who Really Cook. When she is not cooking, Arlene enjoys recreating at her vacation cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan hiking, skiing and spending time with her husband Martin.
